KAOS KENNELS is a family run business owned and operated by Mandy and Paul Meyer. The clean, modern kennel facilities are attached to their home.

Mandy and Paul bring a wealth of experience working with dogs. They are both knowledgeable dog handlers. Mandy is a certified veterinary technician.

Mandy has always loved animals. When she was a child her pets included hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, and of course dogs. It has been a life long dream to make a living doing what she loved most, taking care of and training dogs. Your canine companion will be safe and well cared for when staying at KAOS.

KAOS KENNELS and Community Involvement
For the past 16 years Mandy has volunteered at schools, day cares, and pre-schools teaching and giving demonstrations about dog care and training. She has also been a volunteer at the Minnesota State Fair Pet Center every year since 1985.

KAOS KENNELS philosophy is that it is important for kids to be active with their family pet. Mandy started and carried on a 10 year tradition for the Lake Country Retriever Club called Family Fun Day. She has hosted Family Fun Dog shows for three different communities since 1987. Ribbon winning titles for these community events include Best Tail Wagger, Longest Legs, Most Spots, and the coveted title of Dog Most Likely to Cause a Riot!

Mandy and her canine family members travel to children's health care facilities throughout the metro area visiting patients. She started the Pet Therapy Program at St. Gertrude's Health Care Center in Shakopee, MN in 1999.

"KAOS", The Dog That Inspired Our Kennel Name
KAOS (Chaos) was the second dog that we owned, the first dog that gave us direction. She competed five years on the obedience circuit, five years in the hunt test world, and delivered one litter of puppies. We had the privilege of escorting her to both the Obedience Nationals in Washington and the Labrador Nationals in Ohio. At 13 years of age she left us with a Master Hunt test title, Utility Dog title, grand puppies, and now great-grand puppies. We are pleased that she willed us to pursue our dreams of "going to the dogs". With Kaos' inspiration we have realized our dream of owning our current property along with our boarding and training facility.

Did I say she gave us direction? No, she gave us KAOS.

Kennel hours are by appointment as follows:
Monday - Friday 8-10 a.m. & 3-6 p.m.
Saturday 8-10 a.m. only / Sunday 8-10 a.m. and 5-6 p.m.
Holidays
We are closed to "people" on major holidays,
however we are here to tend to your pets needs.
